DESCRIPTION

As an M365 Collaboration Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance collaboration using Microsoft 365 tools. You will leverage your strong business analysis skills, consulting expertise, and ability to build client relationships and trust to drive successful collaboration initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Strong consulting skills to effectively advise and guide clients on collaboration strategies and solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand business needs, identify solutions, and create detailed business requirements. Develop expertise in capturing and refining acceptance criteria.
  • Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Lead workshops and contribute to early discovery engagements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot) and other collaboration technologies. Deep knowledge of key SharePoint features, user permissions, security, search, and governance.
  • Develop expertise in collaboration concepts and solution design. Understand the value proposition for stakeholders and how it differs from end users.
  • Lead SharePoint migrations and intranet development activities. Understand core concepts of intranets and how to deploy them in M365 (SharePoint or Viva).
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for work automation using Microsoft 365 tools. Create functional process maps for complex scenarios.

  • Estimate and lead SharePoint engagements of varying complexity.
  • Coach team members in QA testing practices.
  • Competency with modern work platforms, tools, and methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of key SharePoint features and functions, including user permissions, security, search, governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Awareness of advanced SharePoint features and customization capabilities.
  • Knowledge of records management using Purview.
  • Working knowledge of integration approaches available to M365, including Power Platform, SPFx, PowerShell, and external workflow automation (e.g., Nintex).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful collaboration strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Excellent business analysis skills.
