Responsibilities

In this position your mandate is to manage, maintain, and support the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and broader IT systems, ensuring optimal systems performance, security, and availability.
This is a remote position, and an outstanding opportunity to join an accelerating startup in a role that’s crucial to the company’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain cloud-based IT systems, including servers, networking equipment, and storage solutions.
  • Manage Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including group policies and identity management.
  • Ensure system backups, disaster recovery plans, and failover procedures are in place and regularly tested.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates and patches.
  • Administer and support the M365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related applications.
  • Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the M365 environment.
  • Configure and maintain M365 security settings, including conditional access policies, MFA, and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to M365 applications and services.
  • Plan and execute M365 updates, migrations, and new feature rollouts.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Document support tickets, solutions, and system configurations in the IT knowledge base.
  • Train and assist staff with the use of M365 applications and IT systems.
  • Enforce information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO, NIST).
