Job Summary: The Clinical Coordinator I is a Certified Medical Assistant who reports to a Practice or Regional Manager and serves as the lead Medical Assistant within an Erlanger physician practice. This role combines clinical leadership, patient care, and operational oversight to ensure efficient practice flow and high quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Leadership & Supervision: Oversees Medical Assistants, including scheduling, staffing, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed. - Clinical Operations: Manages patient flow, exam room readiness, supply inventory, and compliance with DNV standards. - Patient Care: Provides direct and indirect care under physician direction, including patient histories, preparation for visits, documentation of interventions, obtaining authorizations, and prescription support. - Communication & Service: Handles patient concerns, ensures accurate documentation of all communications, and promotes a customer focused environment. - Collaboration & Training: Works with resident physicians to support a learning environment and communicates goals and expectations across the clinical team. - Quality & Productivity: Meets established benchmarks for care quality and operational efficiency while supporting practice improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Competencies - Certified Medical Assistant with demonstrated knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan. - Ability to assess patient data, identify age specific needs, and deliver care consistent with established protocols. - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to foster a team based approach to care. - Commitment to patient safety, self management support, and continuous quality improvement. Education: Required: High School diploma/equivalent. Completion of an accredited (or in process of accreditation within 2 years) Medical Assistant Program or completion of a governed Medical Assistant program or completed equivalent military training. Preferred: Bachelor's degree Experience: Required: Minimum three years experience in a physician office setting. EMR experience. One year of Clinical Medical Assistant experience within last 5 years. Preferred: Previous experience in office or setting. Two years supervisory experience Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
