Job Overview – LPN (Scheduling, Wound Care)   This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is a scheduling-focused, non‑clinical position supporting the Wound Care Centers at Bethesda North. The LPN will use basic wound care knowledge to schedule patients appropriately and ensure accurate communication of clinical details. Training will be provided on all TriHealth wound care workflows and processes. In addition to scheduling, this role includes general administrative duties that help support daily operations. This position also participates in the development of the Nursing component of the plan of care at the direction of an RN, physician, dentist, podiatrist, or optometrist, and implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice set forth in the Nurse Practice Act. Contributes to the evaluation of client responses to nursing care and documents in an accurate and timely manner.   Job Responsibilities:   * Collects and documents assessment data, including observations, health teaching needs, and communications to the RN and healthcare team. * Contributes to and updates the plan of care, including short‑ and long‑term goals and discharge planning; communicates the plan to patients, families, and team members. * Implements and documents the care plan while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and respecting patient rights; prioritizes workload based on patient and unit needs. * Recognizes emergencies, notifies appropriate personnel, initiates emergency measures, and completes all assigned care and documentation within required time frames. * Performs technical skills and administers medications safely according to policy, accurately executes physician orders, and maintains required competencies. * Evaluates and documents patient responses to care, communicating timely updates to the RN or physician. * Participates in professional growth activities, uses the Chain of Command appropriately, builds collaborative relationships, and identifies opportunities for process improvement.   Working Conditions:   Climbing - Rarely Concentrating - Consistently Continuous Learning - Consistently Hearing: Conversation - Consistently Hearing: Other Sounds - Consistently Interpersonal Communication - Consistently Kneeling - Occasionally Lifting
