JOB DESCRIPTION

GlasTechs Technicians analyze and perform repairs and updates related to all clients’ Information Technology, including Computer systems, operating issues, and peripherals. We install, configure, and fix macOS and IOS, interact with users, and guide them on queries and issues related to hardware and software.
GlasTechs Professionals configure, install, and maintain GlasTechs’ clients’ computer systems, peripherals, and mobile devices. Technicians partner with IT Help Desk and Network infrastructure teams, install, upgrade, and maintain equipment and their required infrastructure. They perform diagnostic tests to evaluate and isolate system problems and suggest suitable solutions. Technicians assess system configuration and software to use hardware resources effectively. GlasTechs Technicians thwart cyber-attacks and eliminate viruses utilizing various tools. They monitor, trace, and document problems in a bid to resolve them promptly. Technicians must be efficient and effective at identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of technical issues. They also carry out data backups, script with PowerShell, support the launch of new applications, services, and tools within GlasTechs clients’ organizations. Our Technicians establish accounts and profiles of new users and handle their password issues.
GlasTechs requires Technicians to log all client activities through a ticket tracking system, document incidents and their resolutions carefully and accurately, and follow a quality-control workflow. GlasTechs Technicians also oversee systems usage to ensure compliance with client organizations’ policies and procedures. Technicians should be prepared to travel to client locations whenever necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal GlasTechs IT Tech Level III Affiliate will:

  • Have used a variety of software solutions (including CLI commands)
  • Be conversant with MS Office and Outlook
  • Be able to configure and troubleshoot IOS and Android operating systems
  • Possess O365 and Active Directory knowledge
  • Have utilized a variety of hardware solutions including standalone drives, JBoD and RAID.
  • Be proficient in FileMaker database planning, development, integration, maintenance, and system tuning at the server level.
  • Have substantial experience with using ODBC to connect FileMaker databases to third party database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Addressing the need to communicate with external SQL databases, also have some familiarity with working with those database systems directly.
  • Have experience with email that extends beyond the various clients available on iOS and macOS.
  • Have networking experience that includes the planning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of various interconnection technologies across a variety of platforms.
  • Have experience with configuring routing and firewall services, as well as related networking technologies such as DNS, DHCP and VPN (including PtP VPN over IPSEC).
  • Document the networks, capturing critical information about the various components, settings, interconnections, etc.
  • Have extensive experience using Macintosh computers as servers. That includes the planning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and associated equipment. Equally important are the services that run on the server, the server’s integration into the organization’s infrastructure and the ongoing maintenance and performance of the server.
  • Have experience with a wide variety of AWS services including Route 53, EC2, S3, WorkSpaces, WorkMail and their Key Management Service (KMS).
  • Be very familiar with Box, DropBox, ICloud, googleDrive, and other cloud based file management systems.
  • Experience with JAMF ist required
  • Have associated concepts of network monitoring and endpoint security.

Job Type: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45 - $60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
