We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated Farm Hand to join our team on our macadamia orchards near Bauple, Queensland. In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in the development and care of the orchards, while building your skills and knowledge in the horticulture industry.

In this role, working closely with the Orchard Manager, you’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day operations, taking on a range of tasks that help keep our orchards productive and successful.

  • Hands-on farm work: Engage in diverse tasks such as maintenance, repairs, and proactive reporting of safety hazards
  • Seasonal operations: Be part of the cycle by planting, pruning, picking, and harvesting throughout the year
  • Machinery expertise: Operate farm machinery with comprehensive on-farm training to build your skills
  • Agricultural applications: Assist with herbicide and pesticide applications to ensure healthy crops
  • Safety first: Uphold and exceed work health and safety standards in every aspect of your role
  • Team impact: Contribute to a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment

REQUIREMENTS

We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals who thrive in an active, hands-on environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Essential: A valid C-class driver’s license to keep things moving
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and reliability to accommodate varying work hours, including the possibility of Saturday shifts, to meet operational demands
  • Positive energy: A can-do attitude that inspires collaboration and excellence
  • Detail-oriented approach: A sharp eye for precision in machinery operation, orchard care, and safety practices
  • Farm experience: Previous farm work experience is a bonus.
  • Certifications: Holding a Chemical Users Certificate or qualifications like Certificate II/III in Rural Studies, Horticulture, or Agriculture will give you an edge.
