Machine Assembly and Repair Technicians support operations through a variety of activities required to complete machinery repairs and new machinery builds. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES · Fabrication of machine components · Mechanical assembly of machinery and sub-assemblies · Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting and repair · Repair of rotors, magnets, and motors · Operation of Steinert equipment for testing and sample processing · Adjustment and tuning of equipment to optimize performance · Developing, preparing, and completing work progress documentation · Parts usage and project routing documentation · Other documentation as assigned · Equipment cleaning and painting · Rigging and crating equipment for shipment · Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Aid in presenting the technical capabilities of Steinert's products as requested · Individual must be willing to aid the company in other functions when required · Provide technical training to staff as required Requirements · Full knowledge of mig, tig and stick welding applications including both mild and stainless steel · Adherence to safe work practices in an industrial environment · Ability to work as a self-directed individual and as part of a team · Availability to work overtime when required · Ability to lift up to 50-lbs · Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics · Drive a forklift · Must possess full range of mechanical and fabricator tools · Must pass full drug screening and background check PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Machinery Maintenance background · Electrical controls, PLC, and troubleshooting · Welding and fabrication · Use of overhead cranes and rigging · Experience in Scrap Metal recycling or Waste recycling · Development I Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures · Experience working in a small department · Lean Manufacturing implementation WORKING CONDITIONS · Typical for a fabrication shop and warehouse environment · Small company environment
