Job Description:
We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to become an integral part of our transversal Data team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming and modernising our machine learning platform. In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate across the organisation to define and implement MLOps best practices, while taking charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, essential for the development and deployment of machine learning models. Working closely with data scientists, data engineers, solution engineers, and other stakeholders, you’ll ensure the seamless integration of machine learning models into our production systems, driving innovation and excellence within AXA UK.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on experienc

Responsibilities
  • Transform offline models developed by data scientists into a robust machine learning production system including Model Deployment and versioning, Data Management and Feature engineering, Model Monitoring and Performance Management and Automation and Orchestration.
  • Build and enhance reusable tools and modelling pipelines, fostering knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Define and implement best practices in Machine Learning and MLOps, while mentoring colleagues throughout the organization.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing through internal and external communities and working groups.
  • Develop reliable, scalable machine learning pipelines on Azure Databricks.
  • Design workflows with MLFlow for the effective development, deployment, and monitoring of ML models.
  • Optimize the deployment, management, and performance of machine learning models used in AXA applications.
  • Stay updated on advancements in MLOps, LLMOps, Azure, and Databricks, identifying opportunities to improve ML capabilities.
