Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge AI, machine learning and automation capabilities. This role will see you work across the full AI lifecycle, from proof of concept through to production deployment, helping shape scalable and sustainable AI solutions in a cloud-first environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and deploy machine learning and AI solutions in production environments.
• Develop and optimise NLP, LLM and transformer-based applications.
• Build and maintain computer vision and deep learning models.
• Contribute to AI experimentation, prototyping and proof-of-concept activities.
• Implement and support MLOps practices, model monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support delivery of cloud-native and serverless solutions using AWS technologies.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Machine Learning Engineer delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and transformer-based models.
• Experience developing solutions using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and modern LLM technologies.
• Strong understanding of classical machine learning techniques using scikit-learn, Pandas and SQL.
• Experience building computer vision solutions using technologies such as CNNs and Vision Language Models.
• Proven experience across the MLOps lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring and model management.
• Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Highly Desirable

• AWS cloud platform experience.
• Serverless application development and deployment.
• Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally AWS CDK.
• DevOps and CI/CD experience.
• Relevant ICT qualifications and industry certifications.
