Description

Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something - you’ll add something. Are you passionate about advancing conversational AI technologies that enhance the daily lives of billions of users worldwide? Apple’s Siri team builds foundational machine learning and natural language processing systems that power intelligent assistance across all Apple devices. We’re seeking machine learning engineers who share our vision for creating more natural, helpful, and accessible AI interactions. As part of the team, you will integrate state-of-the-art language models and multimodal AI systems with Apple’s industry-leading Neural Engine and privacy-preserving on-device inference capabilities. You will have the opportunity to showcase your machine learning expertise while helping redefine how users interact with intelligent assistants across the Apple ecosystem.

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will develop and integrate cutting-edge machine learning models into Siri’s conversational AI platform. You’ll work on core natural language understanding, dialogue management, and multimodal reasoning technologies, leveraging Apple’s advanced neural processing capabilities while maintaining our commitment to user privacy and on-device intelligence. You will design and implement algorithms that structure, analyze, and leverage conversational data to create more contextually aware and personalized user experiences. This includes developing predictive models for intent recognition, building sophisticated dialogue systems, and creating efficient inference pipelines that deliver real-time responses across diverse user contexts and accessibility needs. Working within both research and production environments, you’ll translate breakthrough AI research into robust, scalable systems that serve millions of users. You’ll implement model optimization techniques, perform comprehensive testing and validation, and create documentation that enables seamless integration across Apple’s platforms. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including accessibility specialists, privacy engineers, and international localization teams will be essential to ensure Siri works effectively for users from all backgrounds and abilities. Your work will directly impact how users with diverse needs, languages, and interaction preferences experience AI assistance, requiring thoughtful consideration of inclusive design principles and global accessibility standards.
