OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a talented AI Data Engineer to join the Wyze AI Data Team, where you’ll play a hands-on role in enabling our AI features through high-quality data infrastructure and systems. In this position, you’ll design and implement evaluation pipelines, production-grade data services, and MLOps tooling that drives continuous performance improvements. Working closely with AI science, engineering and annotation teams, you’ll help ensure our AI models are trained, evaluated, and monitored with data systems that are scalable, reliable, and thoughtfully engineered.

• Implement evaluation pipelines for AI service quality—automate benchmarks, validate outputs, and support continuous model improvement.
• Write scalable, robust batch and streaming pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, Airflow, and cloud data warehouses—with strong attention to system design and performance.
• Support integrate AI models into production workflows, supporting MLOps practices such as deployment, real-time monitoring, and observability.
• Collaborate with annotation team to produce clean, accurately labeled data for training and evaluation.
• Apply data quality checks, including schema validation, freshness, drift detection, and alerting mechanisms.
• Build observability tooling—dashboards, automated sanity checks, alerts—to detect AI data issues proactively.
• Help maintain clear pipeline documentation, runbooks, and data definitions for smoother debugging and team collaboration.
