thyssenkrupp Transrapid GmbH and its TechCenter Control Technology develops customized solutions for customers inside and outside the thyssenkrupp Group in the mechatronic area, in the simulation of complex systems and in industrial data analytics and Al.
As a member of our data analytics and Al team, you will work at the intersection of machine learning and embedded systems - developing Al-driven modules for real-time perception, decision making and control on edge platforms. The focus will be on next generation Al systems operating in challenging environments with limited computing power, limited connectivity and high reliability requirements.
This role is ideal for candidates who want to go beyond creating model prototypes and take full responsibility for developing Al-powered decision systems.

• Develop applied Al models for real-time perception, classification, and situational understanding
• Work with multi-modal data
• Build scalable, low-latency inference pipelines for edge and hybrid (onboard + offline) environments
• Design and evaluate Al-based decision support systems (rule+ML or hybrid)
• Collaborate with software, platform, and integration teams to deploy on real hardware
• Maintain focus on robustness, explainability, and safety
