Description

Company Overview: DeepSig Inc. is a venture-backed technology company pioneering the use of AI in wireless applications (physical layer communications, sensing, and others) by replacing traditional signal processing with algorithms derived by machine-learning (ML). DeepSig software products are achieving significant performance increases while reducing power consumption, which brings significant value to our customers.

Job Summary: We are seeking engineers with experience and/or interest in the intersection of wireless signal processing, electromagnetics, and machine learning. Successful applicants will work in a subset of the following areas

  • Development of techniques to show the performance advantage of AI based 3GPP 5G NR and other wireless systems.
  • Keep up with the latest developments in the field of machine learning and assess their viability for canonical wireless communication problems such as channel estimation, channel equalization, error correction, beamforming etc.
  • Build cutting edge ML models for RF sensing applications (signal detection/classification, localization, etc.)
  • Develop methods to deploy ML models to specialized commercial accelerator hardware (quantization, graph optimizations, compilation, etc.)
  • Work with vRAN communications software such as FlexRAN, OpenAirInterface, or NVIDIA Aerial to help gather data, generate test integrations, and performance metrics and comparisons
  • Conduct and analyze channel simulations using mathematical models or simulators such as NVIDIA Sionna RT or MATLAB
  • Keep up with the latest developments in the field of ML and assess their viability for RF sensing applications
  • Utilize both software and DSP techniques to optimize training and inference pipelines
  • Work closely with product managers and business development teams to improve our RF sensing capabilities based on customer feedback
  • Working with real-world RF datasets and ML driven RF systems which are unique and unrivaled anywhere else in the world

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
  • Familiarity with at least one of the Deep Learning frameworks (e.g. – PyTorch, Tensorflow etc.)
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: deep learning, RF Sensing, statistical signal processing, wireless systems fundamentals, time/frequency analysis of signals, machine learning, wireless channel estimation and equalization, MIMO systems, beamforming
  • Ability to work on open-ended problems, building candidate solutions and coming up with appropriate metrics for comparison
  • Strong communication and teaming skills to work collaboratively and productively in a small company environment

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

All the minimum qualifications, plus:

  • Experience in building machine learning models optimized for target hardware.
  • Solid understanding of 5G systems standards
  • Familiarity with ORAN architecture
  • Experience with advanced signal processing concepts such as multi-rate signal processing, polyphase filter banks etc.
  • Prior experience in building Deep Learning models for edge deployment
  • Familiarity with TensorRT
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or CUDA
