Description Position Summary: The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery in a fast-paced machine shop environment. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a collaborative team setting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on manufacturing machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Repair or replace defective components and ensure proper functionality of machinery. Perform preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules and procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and reports. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure machinery meets operational needs. Identify and recommend improvements to equipment performance and reliability. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, including OSHA regulations. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Technical Expertise: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Communication: Clear and concise communication skills to work effectively with team members and document processes. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in performing maintenance tasks and maintaining records. Physical Capability: Ability to lift 40+ pounds routinely and work in physically demanding conditions. Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in maintenance work. Work Conditions The role is based in a machine shop manufacturing environment, requiring frequent work on the production floor. Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery typical of an industrial setting. Must be comfortable working in tight or awkward spaces, as well as standing or kneeling for extended periods. Routinely lift and move equipment or materials weighing 40+ pounds. May require occasional overtime or weekend work to address urgent maintenance needs.
