JOB SUMMARY

TIW WESTERN Inc. is an established Calgary based manufacturing company and recognized leading supplier of heat transfer and combustion equipment.
We are looking for a CNC Operator with plate rolling and CNC plasma cutting experience to join our Calgary fabrication shop.
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to produce quality work in a safe and productive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Experience operating NC Equipment
• Experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines
• Experience operating Band Saw, Plate Rolls and Press Break
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Ability to use the facility equipment: Overhead cranes, forklift and rigging equipment
• Previous experience working with CAD software for programming CNC machines will be considered an asset

• Operate CNC Plasma Machine:
• Set up and adjust machine tools according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and calibration

• Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance

• Load and unload metal sheets onto the machine

• Operate Plate Rolls and Press Break

• Lay out, set up and operate

• Form, bend, roll and shape metal sheets into parts or products

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications

• Operate Band Saw

• Ensure work instructions are carried out as per Supervisor directives
• Ensure tolerances and specifications are met per company standards
• Read and interpret construction fabrication drawings and specifications
• Meet assigned production goals and objectives
• Comply with company safety and quality standards
• Perform duties safely, accurately and in a timely manner
