Responsibilities: · Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance · Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery · Follow production schedules and meet quality standards · Collaborate with team members to improve production processes · Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance · Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment · Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures · Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized · Check the quality of products · Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products · Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns · Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed Skills/Abilities Needed: · Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills · Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred · Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills · Strong communication and teamwork abilities · Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary · Ability to troubleshoot and multitask · Basic mathematic skills · Team player who is reliable and trustworthy · Maintains a clean and safe work area · Verbal and written communication skills in English · Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent; required · Technical degree or certification, preferred · Experience with 5s, preferred · Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required · Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred · Some electrical, preferred · Overhead crane, preferred · Quality control experience, preferred · Forklift experience, required Physical Requirements: · Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds · This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping · Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
