Copperweld is the leading supplier of bimetallic wiring products and the only domestic producer of copper-clad steel (“CCS”) and copper-clad aluminum (“CCA”) wire.   Position Description Copperweld is hiring multiple Machine Operators across different operational levels. Some training may be required on 1st shift before transitioning to off-shift roles. Machine Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing of bimetallic wire products. This position requires working in a safety-critical, heavy industrial environment, following all protocols to ensure the wellbeing of employees and equipment. Operators must meet quality and productivity standards through the efficient, precise, and safe use of equipment in settings that may involve noise, vibration, and extreme temperatures.   WHAT we need you to do. Key Responsibilities * Follow machine-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Perform machine setup and maintain continuous machine operation * Monitor machine settings and record production and scrap * Conduct and document quality testing * May operate a forklift (license required) * Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards   Essential Physical Requirements The position requires medium-level exertion, including: * Standing, walking: Frequent to constant * Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs.): Frequent *Note: Certain tasks may occasionally require handling weights exceeding 50 lbs.
