Description
The Machine Operator will perform basic duties of wiring harnesses. In this position you will: Routine duties may include building various wire harness to engineering specs, using automated and hand crimpers, and/or soldering activities. This includes performing quality inspections (following control plans, reaction charts, SPC charts, etc.), Pull and continuity testing, gauge checks, machine set-ups, basic troubleshooting, manual handling of material and 5S activities. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year of experience in a mechanical trade role or harness experience Must be able to solder or attend training for soldering harnesses Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures. Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
