Position Description Title: Machine Operator - 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm Department: Production Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Purpose: Operates paper mailer equipment Principle Accountabilities Responsible for safe, controlled set-up, operation, and troubleshooting equipment and processes. Monitor machine operations, perform routine maintenance checks, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Ensure product is manufactured and completed as per technical specifications. Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure products comply with production standards. Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed and improved. Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups. Records quality and production metrics via written/electronic methods and within time deadlines. Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies. Coaching and mentoring assistants by providing clear and precise instructions. Ensure all safety rules and company policies/procedures are followed. Perform quality control checks. Reports any discrepancies. Must be detailed oriented and have a sense of urgency. Use PPE as required and maintain a safety-first mindset. Maintain good housekeeping, follow 5S standards. Related tasks as requested by supervisor. Essential Skills and Experience Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience. Working with paper mailer lines preferred. Ability to repeatedly lift to a maximum of 50 lbs. Must have basic computer skills, AS400, Microsoft Office. Must have basic math skills. Why Choose IPG?
