Description To operate extrusion, pultrusion, or back lines in compliance with established company production processes and policies to achieve output needed to meet scheduled production job requirements. Requirements ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES Set up the extruder line as necessary for the job specifications Set up the tooling (molds) needed for the job specifications Recognize various mold sizes and mold types needed for the job requirements Recognize various product colors and sizes based on the job requirements Operate the production lines in a manner consistent with established processes Routine cleanings of specific line sections during operation Monitoring line performance for operational variances Monitoring finished product routinely for variances in quality Follow established processes/guidelines for color changes, filling molds, cooling periods, removal and stacking of finished product Trouble shoots minor problems with the production lines Provide assistance regarding finished goods banding and movement Ensure that production processes and finished goods meet the company’s standards for Quality Help establish and participate in process improvement activities Verify satisfactory completion of job specifications/requirements Input accurate time keeping and production records REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to work up to (4) 12-hour shifts from 7pm-7am per week and additional overtime as needed Attention to detail Team oriented Task oriented Strong attendance/work ethic Ability to obtain valid operator's license for operating lift trucks Ability to speak, read, and write in English to perform essential duties Ability to use measuring devices/tools to verify that finished goods meet the job specifications Mechanical ability sufficient to operate manufacturing equipment and recognize problems EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Manufacturing experience preferred but not required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing to perform job requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds DISCLOSURE STATEMENT The range is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual holiday bonus. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
