QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST have own reliable transportation due to shift end time
  • 1–2 years of machine operation experience (CNC or general machinery).
  • Mechanical knowledge and comfort with tools and equipment.
  • Basic CNC programming and control understanding (asset).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow procedures.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and a positive team player.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting a Machine Operator on behalf of a reputable, family-run company with great growth potential. This is a afternoon shift role with full training provided, where you’ll work alongside a senior operator to gain hands-on experience with a variety of machines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and assist with multiple machines including CNC, punch press, slitters, cutters, rewind machines, and wrapping/labeling for shipping.
  • Perform machine setup, material preparation, and basic program selection.
  • Use measurement tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers, tapes) to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow quality control processes and perform regular checks.
  • Handle general material movement, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working on your feet with bending, twisting, and pivoting.
