Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

To provide support to Amcor Little Chute in the areas of machine operation, quality assurance, rework, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning. You will be operating as a thermoforming operator - making K-cups for Keurig coffee makers!

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities. Report all injuries, near misses or property damage to the Team Leader/Manager prior to the end of the day of the incident.
  • Support machine setups and line clearances (i.e. Set up packing automation, help with tool changes, staging materials).
  • Perform QC checks and make adjustments as needed.
  • Machine cleanups, startups & shutdowns.
  • Scan inputs and outputs to the line and other required locations using computer programs (i.e. AIMS). Make labels.
  • Wrap and band secondary materials per guidelines.
  • Verify specification, labels and materials match.
  • Pack cartons and label them per the Packing Specification.
  • Wrap pallets for shipping per Packing Specification.
  • Scan outer labels to pallet labels and use an RF gun to scan finished pallets into inventory locations.
  • Communicate defects to the Operator II found during inspection and replace with good products.
  • Keep the facility clean - sweep/mop floors, wipe down equipment, carts and tooling per the 5S schedule.
  • Actively support Quality Improvement projects and Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Follow all plant and department specific safety and security rules, procedures, and programs and attend monthly training. Promote a safety culture by positively communicating safety concerns and risks.
  • Follow job procedures to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded. Follow all GMP and PPE.
  • Operate forklift truck and adhere to established power lift truck policy.
