We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator for one or more of the following machines: Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will handle small format products that require bindery work before they are packed and shipped to the client. Shifts available: Wednesday through Friday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (Overtime Eligible) A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have: * a high school diploma or GED * a two-year Technical or Trade School diploma * three years’ experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder or booklet maker * worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years * worked in a fast-paced mid-size company * the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis On top of that you must: * possess a thorough and organized approach to your work * pay close attention to details on every project * have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite * be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs * plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work * complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards * apply effective time management and self-management skills * understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information * be flexible to change In this position you'll: * complete the job successfully and provide a quality product the customer will want to order again * run the bindery equipment in a small format capacity * run existing bindery equipment and be open to learning how to run new equipment * troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met * perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards * perform basic maintenance of the bindery machines * complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as requested by management To get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be: * able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
