Description

We are currently seeking Experienced CNC Operators for our 2nd Shift (2:30p.m.-10:35 p.m.) in our Swiss Turn department. Wages are based on classification, and classifications are based on experience and abilities. We work with our associates and offer hands on training in order for them to progress to different levels which offer wage increases and additional responsibility!

*MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW PROCEDURES AND PERFORM EFFICIENTLY. USE JOB RELATED GAGES; SPC KNOWLEDGE; AND MECHANICAL.

Minimum Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour
Pay based on CNC Operator Progression Levels (5)

CNC operator is to set up and operate CNC machines and equipment. On any given day, an operator may load raw materials, efficiently run machines, and inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

  • Previous Swiss CNC Lathe set up experience – Preferred (Preferably experience with Citizen/Star Swiss Machines)
  • Know the difference between X, Y, Z Axis to be able to make off sets - Required
  • Ability to do change overs - preferred
  • Perform basic machine PM such as Cleaning of collets, guide bushings, main and sub spindles
  • Complete all required documentation: tool life, run charts and set-up paperwork
  • Ability to read gages (Attribute gages, Micrometers, Calipers, optical comparator)
  • Ability to use basic shop math
  • Understand the different perishable cutting tools and be able to determine and help resolve premature failure modes of tools.
  • Understanding the importance and demonstrate the ability to produce quality parts within the customer specifications.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve issues as they arise
  • Ability to effectively use ERP system to ensure proper traceability of product through the various processes - ERP Experience a plus! (Plex)
  • Ability to shut down machine for quality-related problems and get assistance
  • Make off-sets to machines
  • Blue print reading - A plus but will train
  • House keeping
  • Automatous PM’s on machine
  • Keeping work areas and machines clea
