Description
The Machine Operator will be responsible for running production machines to produce assemblies as per work order instructions, making minor adjustments when necessary. Operate production machines to create assemblies. Make adjustments to the operating process as needed. Read and understand basic work order instructions and procedures. Train on controls and functions of machines, auxiliary equipment, and related tooling. Correctly fill out documentation and logs as required. Perform basic pre-quality inspection checks and identify root causes to make recommendations and adjustments. Work effectively in more than one area or on more than one machine including but not limited to: SMT machine, Selective Solder, and Vibration Table. Perform tasks related to wash potting and clean up stations. Prioritize work based on urgency and due dates. Collaborate with others to achieve high-performance results. Promote 5S+ within immediate and surrounding areas and ensure safety. Ensure preventive maintenance is maintained on all equipment and scheduled as needed. Identify root causes during quality inspections and make necessary adjustments. Foster a collaborative environment to achieve high performance results. Embrace and promote diversity of ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds to strengthen the team and company. High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. 1 year of experience as an operator of automated and manual machines. Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Must live within 50 miles of Torrance, CA (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from this geographical limitation). Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Good vision and ability to see colors. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
