McConway & Torley is currently searching for a Machine Operator - Foundry for our third shift. As a Machine Operator, you’ll set up and operate machines, adjust for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas. This specialist works with unconventional materials, which requires specialized skills.

What you’ll do:

• Learns Visual Control Boards
• Learns how to load drill programs
• Learn to communicate with Maintenance on KW
• Learns production logs and documentation
• Learns basic operation of KW controls
• Learns basic operation of sand controls
• Learns to manually jog KW components
• Learns how to match tickets to patterns
• Learns to adjust sand levels
• Learns how to perform visual inspections- vents, pattern breakages, serial # and sand stickers
• Places sleeves per standard work
• Learns to clean patterns
• Learns how-to put-on patterns properly
• Learns to radio communicate with melt, work lead and supervisor
• Learns how to perform against documented standard work
• Learns autonomous maintenance
• Engaged and motivated to meet commitments on work product
• Learns and uses correct PPE based on hazard assessment
• Inspect all PPE at end of each shift
• Inspect all tool and equipment at the beginning of each shift
• Situational safety awareness of surroundings and other personnel
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area per 5S standards
• Follows all corporate policies and procedures
• Utilizes manufacturing’s best practice
