Description OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: Machine Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of various parts and assemblies using raw material, tools, machinery, and other various equipment. Parts and assemblies are built according to detailed prints. This role ensures the efficient and safe production of product components while maintaining quality standards and adhering to company safety policies. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operate various machines such as press brakes, CNC Mills, Lathes, Plasma Table to fabricate components. Welding experience not required but is a plus. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments. Read and understand detailed engineering drawings. Gather, prepare, cut, roll, bend, weld, and/or assemble raw material to produce parts as detailed on mechanical drawings. Ensure all quality standards are met including proper fit and alignment, verifying dimensions, and performing any necessary testing. Maintain and follow a production schedule to deliver parts on time. Follow all standard work instructions. Document work and results as specified. Adhere to all safety guidelines and safe working practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience): Required: High School Diploma or GED Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings. 1-2 years metal fabrication experience Experience with CNC programming and welding is a plus. DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES: Accountability – Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight. Initiative – Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it. Thoroughness – Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Bending/Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities, and back muscles. Heavy Work - Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Frequent standing and walking. Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects. Requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. Kneeling - Bending legs at knees to come to a rest on one or both knees. Noise - The worker is subject to noise on a regular basis and shouting may be required to be heard above noise level and hearing protection. Repetitive Motion - Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands and or fingers. Vision – Visual acuity is required to operate mechanical or skilled trades.
