Position Overview: Join our team and help us build in 2026! In this role, you’ll work with a team of Machine Operators to produce driveline components to customer specification. You and the team will work together to hit production targets for the shift and provide feedback on ways to make the operation safer and more productive every day! We are seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd Shift which works Monday thru Thursday 3:00 PM – 1:30am at our Blacklick, Ohio location. What you bring to the table (basic requirements): * Ability to perform typical machine operations to support production, including CNC equipment to load and unload parts * Ability to perform hand operations such as de-burring, surface finish preparation, and assembly * Conduct basic inspection operations to detect defective material or questionable conditions and reports to lead or supervisor * A focus on the quality of products produced by reading and understanding part drawings and symbols (blueprints) along with basic math skills * Passionate to maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations * Ability to operate a forklift with certification * Ability to perform multiple tasks (operate multiple machines simultaneously) * Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above. * Willingness to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance concerning machine set-up * High School diploma or GED * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds * Ability to walk, stand, push, kneel, bend, stoop, reach over and under waist level, and twist for extended periods of time on cement or other hard surfaces What Schafer offers: * Competitive Pay with a shift differential for 2nd shift * 4x10 schedule; Monday thru Thursday * 401(k) matching * Health, Vision, Dental, Disability & Life insurance * $1500 sign on bonus * $1500 referral bonus (unlimited referrals) * Paid vacation * Paid holidays eligible on day 1 of employment * Matching charitable donations and paid time off for community service * And more!
