Description WHAT YOU WILL DO: Safely operate lathes, milling machines, and other equipment under the guidance of more experienced machinists. Use various hand tools to achieve finishes. Load raw materials into machines and handle finished goods, transporting them to designated areas as required. Set up machines according to specifications, including adjusting controls and calibrating settings with assistance. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure quality output. Maintain accurate production records and logs, documenting machine performance and quality control measures. Follow safety protocols and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge of machinery and processes. Support routine maintenance of machines and equipment, notifying maintenance staff of any necessary repairs. Requirements WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting. Basic math and measurement skills. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Willingness to work in varying temperature environments and possibly noisy or dusty conditions. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Have a strong work ethic and regular attendance. Knowledge of commonly used manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical documents including blueprints and work instructions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role is preferred, but not required. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation. Schedule: 4-night weeks, Monday - Thursday, 4:48 pm - 2:48am. 2nd shift full time positions offer a 20% shift premium.
