QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years AZ Versa experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • AZ Persoline experience, a plus
  • Computer experience
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary
  • Ability and willingness to lead small work groups of machine assistants

Physical Requirements:

  • Good manual dexterity & Hand/Eye Coordination
  • Respond to changing conditions
  • Stand for long periods of time (8 hour shift)
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Vision corrected to 20/20, not color-blind

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Read the job ticket to understand the customer and company requirements and produce product that meet the requirements.
  • Set up print heads, chip programming and mag stripe encoding per the job requirements.
  • Consistently achieve production time requirements and production standards.
  • Use the AZ’s Color Management System to match artwork color to proof.
  • Ensure quality of product by inspecting all aspects of the personalized cards at predetermined intervals.
  • Work effectively as a team player with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance, especially with Pre-press on configuring new card artwork.
  • Consistently comply with all work procedures relating to the machine, verification, quality system, packaging and pack-out processes.
  • Accept direction willingly from supervisors, management and peers to improve quality and performance.
  • Comply with all safety rules and policies.
  • Accurately perform all quality checks to ensure products meet specifications, and report all quality concerns immediately.
  • Prepare packages, boxes and/or skids for shipping in a manner which gives excellent presentation and ensures a high quality end product.
  • Set-up, trouble-shoot and maintain machinery to assure down time is minimal.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new employees as required.
  • Train and coach temporary employees and assistants assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with the Supervisor or Lead to clarify job status, prioritize jobs, problem solve, handle revisions, review schedules for any changes, modifications or updates.
  • Meet Daily Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Work overtime as requested by Supervisor.
