Description Position Summary/Objective As a key member of the Bouckaert Industrial Textiles Production team, the Machine Operator II will set up, run, and change over multiple textile machines independently with a focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Operator will follow standard procedures to efficiently produce high quality products in a timely manner. This position is also accountable for inspection of goods, and documenting results. Requirements Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment including hearing, eye protection, and safety shoes. Effectively and efficiently perform all the functions & responsibilities of a Machine Operator I. Certified in operation of 2 or more looms and/or cards combined. Troubleshoot to resolve machine or material issues. Use problem solving skills to solve machine and process problems using Lean Tools. Identify machine and or material issues before they become severe. Produce products that meet the quality standards consistently. Keeps machines in good working condition by applying daily preventative maintenance techniques. Meets or exceeds productivity numbers. Assist with maintaining / updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). Regular and consistent attendance. Secondary Functions & Responsibilities: Participate as a key member of Brickle Group teams, and actively contribute to our culture of continuous improvement. Can formally and informally train others. Understands and embraces Lean tools and concepts; assists peers in Root Cause Analysis and other Lean tools. Other responsibilities as assigned. Competencies, Skills and Abilities Ability to operate multiple machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Math skills required. Ability to problem solve and work with others in a fast-paced team environment. Demonstrated experience with Lean Concepts. Forklift / Clamp Truck Certified. Flexibility to work overtime as requested and a varied shift as business needs arise. Dependability and punctuality a must. Education & Experience 1-3 years of related manufacturing experience required. Lean manufacturing experience. Experience in or knowledge of textile industry.
