POSITION SUMMARY Machine Operator II is responsible for operating machinery. Machine Operator I involve basic tasks related to machine operation and production support. Machine Operator I work under close supervision and follows established procedures to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ability to start and stop the machine safely without supervision. * Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) * Ability to place raw material or unfinished parts and remove finished parts from machine safely. * Monitor machine operation. * Check part quality with designated measurement instruments. * Understand when and how to stop machine safely. * Perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning and lubrication. * Operate tools and machinery to aid the manufacturing process. * Perform periodic checks on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise. * Oversee the machine while executing tasks and make necessary adjustments to improve results. * Produce quality parts according to manufacturing targets and schedules as directed by the Plant Manager. * Record all machine actions and log completed parts for record keeping. * Keep a clean and orderly work area. * Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Plant Manager. * Read and understand drawings * Ability to change machine Setting to accommodate different sizes and dimensions * Must have a further understanding of thread dimensions and thread terminology * Ability to guide Machine Operator I with ongoing obstacles * Understand Custom Pipe part number convention QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of a diploma or GED. * Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. * Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tasks quickly. * Strong attention to detail and quality orientation. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. * Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures (e.g. constant use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)). * Perform each essential duty satisfactorily. PREFERRED SKILLS * Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility. * Familiarity of various manufacturing tools and machinery including but not limited to facers, lathes, CNC’s, and other mechanical machinery. * Willingness to work in shifts that may include early or late hours, weekends, or overtime if necessary. * Ability to read, write and speak in English Physical * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, * Bend, stoop, and stand or walk for long periods of time.
