Job Details Job Location: Galdisa USA, Inc - Conroe, TX 77303 Position Type: Full-time Education Level: General Educational Development (GED) Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: 2nd Shift Job Category: Manufacturing Job Summary: Ensure the safety and quality of products manufactured at our Conroe, TX facility, according to customer product specifications, and mandatory and voluntary codes/standards. Maintain efficiencies, SOPs, and utmost standards set forth by customer specifications. Duties/Responsibilities: • Assist in setting up the work area to ensure that all materials needed are readily available to start the production cycle. • Inspect work areas. • Identify opportunities around the food safety and quality systems in place, or around any materials and products used at the facility. Must strive for continuous improvement. • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). • Follow established safety rules and regulations. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Fill in as a floater for other Operators during breaks, lunches, days off, vacations, etc. • Clean equipment and work areas as needed. • Operate pallet jack to stage finished product for warehouse clerk (s). • Assist quality technician(s) in obtaining samples. • Properly place "Super Sacks" on the hoist on the raw side on pallets to fill with the finished product according to customers' specs. • Execute consumption of material. • Reports issues regarding the Food Safety Management System to the Technical Manager and/or Plant Manager. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Education/ Experience: • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. • 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience. - Preferred Required Skills/Abilities: • Understands production procedures. • Attention to detail. • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of standing and walking. • Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. • Must be able to visually inspect machines. • Must be able to climb various platforms of two or three levels without difficulty. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday ( 1:30 pm. - 12:00 a.m.) Overtime: Some overtime on Fridays Additional $1.50 shift differential pay from 7 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. Qualifications
