Description

With 140 successful years in the industry, Krug is well recognized as a leader in the design & manufacture of high quality business and healthcare furniture. We have an IMMEDIATE need for a full time ‘Machine Operator’ to join our Seating facility in Kitchener.

EDUCATION:

Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Ability to read drawings is an asset.
Ability to use measuring devices is an asset.
Ability to use hand tools is an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience with a variety of woodworking machinery is an asset.
Operating knowledge a variety of machine experience in a manufacturing facility is mandatory.
This position is full time on-site role.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To set-up and operate a variety of woodworking machines in accordance with company safety and quality assurance procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sets up machines to perform required operation.
· Able to troubleshoot and take measures to resolve quality issues
· Checks set up for accuracy and tolerances to ensure parts are machined to the drawings
· Machines piece parts.
· Utilizes equipment to maximize efficiencies and meet schedule due dates.
· Performs all responsibilities/services in accordance with company quality assurance procedures.
· Inform TL regarding quality, maintenance and production issues.
· Adhere to safe work practices.
· Other duties as assigned.
