JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Barry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s leading wood processing facility on a temp2perm basis.

• Ability to handle materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Manual handling of materials and products.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workplace.
• Manually feeding the planer with various lengths of wood.
• Changing bags on the extraction system.
• Recording operational data accurately.
• Assisting in the sorting and grading of wood.
• Separating good quality wood from reject wood.
• Performing general timber handling duties.
• Operating a forklift (experience preferred but not essential).
