Job Summary Operates industrial guillotine knife equipment to cut sheet goods, foam, textiles, paper, plastics, or composite materials to precise measurements. Responsibilities include aligning materials, adjusting stops and guides, verifying cut accuracy with measuring tools, maintaining blade sharpness, and following all safety procedures to ensure efficient production and a safe work environment. What You’ll Do… * Properly use machines * Make proper use of test and inspection devices as required by the group leader and/or job packet. * Prepare daily time accountability and paperwork. * Read and follow job paperwork as required. * Maintain safe and clutter-free work area. * Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety, improved product quality, better rates and yields, or any other matters that impact shop costs or employee’s health. * Perform packaging, assembly, duties as directed by group leader * Do other tasks as directed by the group leader. What You’ll Bring… * Set up machines as required. * Recognize quality, acceptable product. * Assist in the training of inexperienced persons. * Be skilled in the operation of many pieces of equipment throughout the plant(s). * Be sufficiently skilled to work with minimum supervision once initial training is completed and verified by the supervisor. * Employee must pass the job-related physical requirement testing.
