Job Description Responsibilities & Opportunities Sika is looking for experienced Machine Operator to join it’s growing team in Gastonia, NC. This position will assist the shift supervisor in coordinating the work of production employees involved in production activities. Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and product. Operates manufacturing line. Requires the ability to vary prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality parts. Changes and adjust operating conditions to maintain proper quality. Other Duties include: To operate one or more of the following: the mixing system; calendar; press; hot melt; embosser 1, 2, and 3; anti-sticking agent unit; adhesive unit 1 and 2; U.V. unit; magnetizing unit To start up the hot oil heater and water chillers Perform quality testing; make corrections for out-of-spec conditions Ensure production scheduled to adhered to Assist in training new production employees Perform some maintenance on the press and report any needed repairs on the machines Assist in labeling and packing parts Qualifications Preferred Skills: High School Diploma or GED 3 months-1 year related manufacturing experience Knowledge of metric system, computer literate, able to operate a forklift, and able to read and write Additional Information Perks & Benefits 401k with Generous Company Match Bonuses Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Paid Parental Leave Life Insurance Disability Insurance Paid time off, paid holidays Floating holidays + Paid Volunteer Time Wellness/Fitness Reimbursements Education Assistance Professional Development Opportunities Employee Referral Program & More!
