Regular quarterly raises from 3 months until top out pay of $30.24 is reached in 2.5 years. 1st shift hours are 6:45 am – 5:15 pm M-Th (some overtime on Friday) After 90 days you will be eligible for benefits: · Health/Dental/Vision Insurance · Flexible Spending Account · Life Insurance · 401(k) · 401(k) Matching · Paid Time Off GENERAL SUMMARY Fabrication of raw materials using various metal working machines in accordance with specifications, tolerances, and requirements to produce high quality woven wire products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS Interpret standard production drawings and job specifications. Set up machines to specification for each fabrication job. Fabricate raw materials using various metal working and cutting machines. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications. Assure that all materials and supplies are available as needed in order to promote maximum efficiency for each work process and meet set productivity goals each day. Detect and notify supervisor of faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials. Perform all tasks in accordance with safety including proper use of PPE as required. Maintain clean and orderly work area. WORKING CONDITIONS Manufacturing facility/ warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Non-temperature regulated facility. Constant material transport via fork lift moving throughout facility. Overhead crane in operation within department. 10 hour work days – 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday). Mandatory overtime depending on operation schedule. Work alone or with other co-workers. Steady pace with set productivity goals to be met each day. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Constant standing, bending, and stooping. Constant reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling. Exerting 50 lbs to 80 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 20 lbs to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Frequent precisely coordinated movements of the fingers and hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT Scanner Various metal working machines: e.g saw, punch, cope, shear, drill, press brake, band saw, overhead crane, laser Standard Measuring Tape Other Various Hand and Measuring Tools Personal Protective Equipment Requirements SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Machine operator experience preferred but not required. Able to read standard tape measure. Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations. Strong mechanical aptitude. High School Diploma or GED
