Description
Responsible for maintaining certain levels of work in process including Teflon blending, preforming, carbon blending and 6 inch preform to ensure high quality material and healthy levels of work in progress for next operation. Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements. Compound or process ingredients or dyes, according to formulas. Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times. Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment. Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials. Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices, including but not limited to scales, hoists, temperature probes, and brushes Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures. Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards. Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools, including but not limited to drum lifts, pallet jacks, elevator and conveyor. Record operational or production data on specified forms. Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing. Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures. Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention and correct those they can. Assist in developing work station risk assessment and safe working procedures. Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions. Accident, near-miss accident or potential hazard investigations. Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received. Participate actively in providing suggestions for the health and safety program improvement. Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements in designated work area. Strong attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing
