Description

Are you mechanically inclined? In the Machine Operator position, you would set up and operate flexible packaging converting equipment in a safe and clean manufacturing environment. Currently hiring for all shifts. Compensation is based on relevant experience, mechanical ability, and shift (shift differential for working evenings and overnights). Experience in the flexible packaging industry strongly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to set-up and operate a machine.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to stand for all day and lift 75 lbs. or more.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.
  • Must be able to hold objects with hands.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good attendance.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to do whatever is needed to keep production running smoothly.
  • Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate flexible packaging Converting Department machines such as Nishibe Poucher, Sun Centre Poucher, Modern Manufacturing Poucher, Karlville Poucher, Deacro Slitter, and Comexi Laminators.
  • Continuously monitor machine to ensure it is running efficiently, effectively, and finished product meets all quality standards.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, as needed.
  • Understand all applicable operational documentation and machine interfaces.
  • Know where all safety stops and E-stops are located.
  • Maintain an orderly and organized work area at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members, to include Quality Control, Catchers, Material Handlers, and other Machine Operators.
  • Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
