Howdens are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at Howden to safely manufacture a range of finished profiles to the correct quality specification. In this role you will work with all or a combination of the following equipment: main saw, moulder, sander, vacuum storm coater, main oven and de-nibber.
To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

• Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP
• Continuous monitoring of the machine during production
• Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP and in line with the published control plans and gauges provided
• Weekly autonomous and preventative maintenance
• Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards
• Work to drawing specifications in order to produce products accurately and to the correct quality standards
