Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate and troubleshoot machinery used to produce high-quality food packaging products. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn specialized processes. Pay & Schedule: * Pay based on experience + $0.75/hour night shift differential (if applicable) * 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:15 PM or 7:00 PM–7:15 AM) * Every other weekend off Key Responsibilities * Safely operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment in accordance with plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols * Start, stop, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure efficient operation; troubleshoot basic issues and report malfunctions to a supervisor * Follow emergency procedures for power outages, equipment failures, and workplace incidents; report all safety concerns or injuries immediately * Read job specifications and maintain proper machine settings to support production efficiency, meet production goals, and minimize scrap * Feed materials, monitor machine speeds, and perform general production tasks including packing products as needed * Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications, GMP standards, and food safety requirements * Complete logs, reports, and required documentation accurately * Handle materials and operate equipment such as lift trucks (or willingness to learn) * Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks * Communicate operational, safety, and quality issues promptly and assist team members as needed * Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives, including hazard identification and food safety programs Qualifications * 2+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills * Willingness to learn new equipment and processes * Ability to follow instructions and work safely * Basic computer skills * Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts MORE THAN A JOB.
