JOB SUMMARY: Incumbent assist the CNC Operator by sorting material according to job and description of parts needed. After material is stacked will send to staging area for next processing step. Must read paperwork to decipher what paper works goes with what job. Can tell the differences between different parts and materials. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED OF THE POSITION: 1. Ability to stack and sort material. 2. Ability to read a tape measure. 3. Ability to work safely. 4. Ability to read. 5. Ability to follow instructions. 6. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. SUPERVISORY CONTROLS: The supervisor defines the objectives and priorities, informs the incumbent of special priorities. The incumbent independently carries out regular and recurring assignments without assistance. However, the supervisor is available for advice on any deviations, problems, or unusual instructions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed inside. Areas may be damp, noisy, dirty, dusty, hot, cold, or drafty. The work site is well lighted, well ventilated, and easily accessible. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Required standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions up to eight hours in a day. Lifts and carries items that weigh up to 50 lbs. and or moves, maneuvers, push, or slide items for proper position. Must reach up to one foot above average height level. Push carts loaded with material. Minimal bending/stooping. Heavier items are moved with the assistance from other workers. SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Employee is required to wear safety equipment appropriate for the job and work area assigned, as directed by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

The incumbent assists the CNC Operator by sorting and stacking materials according to job descriptions and paperwork. They are responsible for moving processed materials to the staging area for the next production step.
