JOB DESCRIPTION

Trouw Nutrition is hiring… we’re adding a Machine Operator to our team in Ste-Anne MB. We are looking for a team player to operate equipment and machinery. This position requires someone who is energetic, passionate about people and the animal industry, and can work with machines to produce animal feeds. Want to learn?? REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School education and the ability to communicate and write in English
  • Roughly 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Manufacturing/Farming knowledge, with on the job plus specialized (formal) training

GOOD TO KNOW:

  • This is a rotating shift work position of night, evening and days to cover a 24 hour day – 5 days per week with over-time as needed. Shift rotates every 2 weeks.
  • Full-time, Permanent.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly bend and twist, open and close lids, climb ladders and work at heights, and lift 25 kgs.
  • Physical Work Conditions: Often exposed to loud sounds, distracting noise levels, and dusty environment.

Responsibilities

We will train you to complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards.

  • Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
  • Load bulk trucks: Unload and receive the ingredients; Accurately and efficiently ship products ordered by customers
  • Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times
  • Operate the production line
  • Endeavor to be productive at all times.
