Job Details: Position Summary: This position will set up, tear down, and operate the tow motor and hand mules, dumpers, grinders, mixers, emulsifiers. Responsibilities: Move buckets weighing 280 pounds, tanks weighing 2900 pounds of final ground meat from holding cooler to grinding room. Move 200 pounds of meat with a shovel or fork from strainers, correctors, or combos. Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup, and other ingredients to meat blends for correct batching of meat materials. Perform necessary weight and process checks. Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. Maintain general manufacturing practices. Will be required to participate in position rotations, including tow motor. Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer. Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position. Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements. Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels. Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. Perform any other work as assigned by management. Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment. Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently. Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours. Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
