The Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has an open postdoctoral fellow position with the main focus on specializing in developing and deploying AI-driven solutions for immunology discovery. The postdoctoral fellow will work in the Tao Wang lab under the joint supervision of Dr. Tao Wang and Dr. John Weinstein.
The Tao Wang Lab is a top and well-established bioinformatics research group, Dr. Wang’s interdisciplinary research integrates machine learning, statistics, medicine, and biology to extract meaningful insights from high-dimensional biomedical data. The ultimate goal will be to transform patient care by improving disease prediction, personalizing treatment, and therapeutic discovery.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a doctoral degree from a reputable University/Institute and be within 0-1 years of graduation (or will have one soon). Must have an interest in 100% “dry” research or research that is half “dry” and half “wet”. Candidates who have switched from 100% “wet” research backgrounds are also welcome to apply, as long as he/she has demonstrated a keen interest in, has a decent exposure to, and has a clear potential for “dry” research.
