Chandler Industries is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled Machine Press Brake Operator to grow with us at our state-of-the-art facility in Blaine, Minnesota location. In this role, you will set up and operate a variety of production machines to manufacture precision parts while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety. The position also supports quality inspections, basic equipment maintenance, training of team members, and collaboration with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to successfully launch new products. Requirements Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Set up and operate a variety of machines including grinders, press brakes, and tube benders, performing full setups independently. Operate computer-controlled press brake machines to perform machining functions on a variety of material workpieces. Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards, and report unsafe conditions when identified. Read and interpret process documentation, blueprints, templates, and specifications to ensure accurate part production. Perform quality inspections to verify parts that meet specifications and production standards. Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to help develop processes and procedures for new parts, including establishing and documenting machine setups. Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production within specifications and identify tooling or equipment requiring replacement or maintenance. Ensure work meets job specifications, quality standards, and established procedures. Support team development by training employees on safe and proper equipment operation. Maintain individual performance targets of 85% setup and 85% production efficiency based on established operation standards. Utilize computer systems to clock in and out of jobs and record process data accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, following 5S standards. Support Lean manufacturing initiatives by helping eliminate waste such as overproduction, defects, waiting, inventory, excess motion, transportation, and over-processing. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience (Minimum Requirements) High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of related machining or manufacturing experience, or equivalent education and experience. Demonstrated CNC Press Brake operating experience. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong basic math skills for counting parts and performing machine adjustments. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across the organization. This position requires access to information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred) Experience working in Aerospace, Medical, or other highly regulated industries. Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
