We are looking for a talented Machine Safety Engineer - Senior to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P. (Hybrid role: 3 days on site, 2 days home office) In this role, you will make an impact by: * Leading machine safety risk assessments, validations, inspections, and system design reviews, including safeguarding and functional safety systems in all sites in Cummins ( Global role) * Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Machine Safety and Functional Safety during capital and plant improvement projects, ensuring alignment with Cummins and industry standards. * Developing and standardizing processes related to machinery safety, including design specifications, testing, auditing, compliance, and documentation. * Reviewing and interpreting new corporate and regulatory safety requirements and driving implementation across sites. * Leading safety system improvement initiatives across businesses, including remediation efforts and consultant coordination. * Supporting engineering teams in identifying hazards, implementing effective controls, and optimizing safety function components. To be successful in this role, you will need: * Experience as Control Engineer, it is plus HSE strong experience. * Strong technical knowledge of automation and control systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic). * Experience conducting machine safety risk assessments in multidisciplinary environments. * Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. * Solid understanding of Machinery Safety and Functional Safety standards (ANSI, ISO, IEC), including ISO 13849, ISO 12100, IEC 62061, and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. * Experience commissioning and troubleshooting safety functions (PLCs, safety relays, HMI interfaces). * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. * Practical knowledge of machinery operation and hazard identification. * Robot safety knowledge (preferred). * Advanced English Level * Availability to travel internationally 10% of the time (Mianly in USA) Cummins is an equal opportunity employer.
