Description
We are currently looking for a Machine Setter to work in our busy Engineering Department in Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time, permanent position on Days & 1 week of nights, within a rotating shift pattern of 7am - 7:00pm and 7.00pm to 7.00am - 4 on/4 off, with a competitive salary. Role Description: To maintain continuous production and improve efficiencies safely through effectively implementing preventative maintenance / machine assembly schedules. Responding in a timely manner to start up issues / repairs. Ensure continuous improvement methodologies are applied that improves the operational function. Key Tasks (Maintenance & Repairs): § Assembling Packaging / Sealing Machine § Assembling Metal detectors and checkweighers § Assembling Vacuum sealing equipment § Assembling the Vemags / and Grinding Equipment § Changeovers of machines for operations § Management of the storage area, cleaning, checking and sorting of the Combicut blades. § Minimise potential issues cause by metal contamination. Responsibilities: § To maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations § To identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery § To ensure all PPM schedules are completed and reported back to your assigned supervisory engineer. § To assist the Engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts § To follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts § Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of CPM including the engineering office and CMP workshop § Carry out supervised maintenance on all Low skill - High frequency repetitive tasks assigned to you in the CPM production area and CPM workshop area only.
