JOB DESCRIPTION

Corma Industries is a modern ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing facility in southeast Calgary, Alberta. We specialize in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) production runs and prototyping for a variety of industries including renewable energies, aerospace & aviation, oil & gas, mining, heavy infrastructure, construction, food and beverage, and exploration.
We are looking for a hard-working, self motivated and keen full-time shop helper/labourer for our busy machine shop.

Duties include:

  • Operating CNC machines;
  • Operating saw and grinder, following instruction;
  • Tapping holes and deburring parts;
  • Packing materials;
  • Cleaning machines and workstations;
  • Sweeping floors;
  • Emptying chip bins and garbages;
  • Sorting and organizing tools and materials;
  • Performing other activities as needed.

Skills and Characteristics Needed:

  • A minimum of 1 year machining experience (preferred);
  • Willingness to learn and be trained;
  • Mechanically-minded, able to understand how parts work, how to take things apart and put them back together again;
  • Aptitude for using hands skillfully and quickly; able to use hand tools;
  • Proficiency in estimating and measuring sizes and distances;
  • Think critically and non-linearly;
  • Work independently within a team setting;
  • Have high-energy, be enthusiastic, possess a sense of responsibility and accountability;
  • Possess interpersonal skills - able to work in a team atmosphere;
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay
